Robertson Gymnastics
Achievements

1999
- Awarded Gymnastics Queensland 1999 Club of the Year

2002
Equipment
- Raised level of trampoline sports equipment to an international standard with the purchase of almost $40 000 worth of Eurotrampolines from Germany.
- Increased quantity and quality of Kindergym equipment.
- Continued to upgrade equipment standard for Artistic Gymnastics and Sports Acrobatics

Facility Development
- Commenced a program to curtain facility as required for elite levels of competition
- Purchased aerial sound system, for daily and competitive use
- Purchased a cover over put for usage in Trampoline/Tumbling Championships
- Extensive concreting/landscaping to enhance outer appearance/ improve hygiene/ increase usability
- Develop system to replace lights
- Commenced a program of padding all exposed hard surfaces
- Commissioned 3 artists to create artworks representative of Club and facility

Programs
- Continued to develop Sports Acrobatics program, now one of the strongest in Australia
- Trampoline Sports numbers increased by 25%
- Artistic participation increased by 150%
- Sports Acrobatics participation increased by 300%
- Dance classes as stand alone and to complement Artistic Gymnastics commenced
- Club offers all disciplines except Sports Aerobics (2003) and Rhythmic Gymnastics

Administration
- All accounts computerised
- Club official office finally set up and equipped
- All procedures streamlined
- Overdue term fees reduced by 70%
- Club directly connected to the Internet and provided email access to membership
- Delegates to Club Conference and Gymnastics Queensland Annual Meeting

Coaches
- Employed Yuriy Stepchenkov and his wife and choreographer Olena. Yuriy is the current Australian Sports Acrobatics coach and former triple World Champion in Sports Acrobatics
- Employed Gennadiy Tserichenko, a Master Coach from Ukraine and former triple World Champion in Sports Acrobatics, to fill boy term vacancy in WAG program
- Employed Darren Gillis, as a Trampoline skills and Tumbling coach. As an Australian representative for 12 years and World Championships silver medallist, he is a world expert
- Employed a dance Teacher and are developing six junior/ assistant coaches.
- Club head coach Natalie Gillis (nee Abreu) chosen as newest national coach
- Hosted and took a number of coaching courses

In Competition
Trampoline Sports
- South Queensland Champion for 3rd year in succession
- Continued high representation in State Team
- Three National Champions

- Two athletes (Carly Ward and Nicole Diegan) chosen for national selection. Both received medals in International Competition
- Highest achievement - Carly Ward - Two gold medals at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival (January 2003)

Men's Artistic Gymnastics
- Athletes attending State Championships for the first time, five athletes competed
- Joshua Hunter winning Robertson's first state title (vault)

Women's Artistic Gymnastics
- Athletes achieving solid succession in Interathletic competition and State levels 1-3 Competition

Sports Acrobatics
- Mixed Pairs silver medals at National Championships

Cheerleading
- Club team finished 5th and 10th at the first ever National Cheerleading Championships

Adult Gymnastics
- Members participating in the State Championships for the first time

National Trampoline Sports Clubs Championships
- Robertson held the first Australian National Clubs and State Levels Trampoline Sports titles
- Robertson finished 2nd in Australia for overall club in Trampoline Sports
- Robertson placed in the top 3 in all disciplines
- Robertson awarded as the Australian Champion Club for the double mini apparatus

Display
- Produced six major displays throughout Brisbane, promoting the club and the sport of Gymnastics in general.
